Welcome to the AATF Rochester Chapter website!
The Rochester Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of French was started in 1927! Our membership consists primarily of French teachers at the elementary, middle school, high school and post-secondary levels.
The officers of the AATF of Rochester are as follows:
- President – Noël Folts (Dansville Central School District)
- 1st Vice-President – Marc Pape (St. John Fisher College)
- 2nd Vice-President – Kathryn Fredericks (SUNY Geneseo)
- Secretaries/ Webmasters – Maryanna Falkovich (Pittsford Central Schools) & Alisa Belanger (Our Lady of Mercy School for Young Women)
- Treasurer – Kari Evans (Dansville Central School District)
Our primary mission as an organization is to promote and support the teaching of the French language and francophone cultures around the world. We work with AATF headquarters to administer the French National Contest each year to recognize students in our local schools enrolled in a French program. In an effort to better support our local French teachers, the AATF of Rochester will continue to offer several activities during the school year.
